Captions

Captions show the words and important sounds as text. They are needed by deaf and hard-of-hearing people and used by many others. Check automatic captions and correct them before you publish.

Transcripts

A transcript is the full text of the video, including descriptions of what is shown. Deafblind people read transcripts on a braille display. Captions alone do not help them.

Audio description

Audio description explains what is happening on screen for people who cannot see it. If your video has no important visual content, say so in the description.

No autoplay

Never start a video automatically. Let people choose when to play it.
